"Is This Internet Business Opportunity A Scam?"

I know you have heard in the news how even the most savvy of investors got scammed out of $50 billion dollars. This goes more toward greed than it does to common since. Many people can Scam you into becoming a scammer off of their inflated reputation. One person was able to market himself out to investors as the top person in his field and based off word of mouth and the draw of exclusivity people willingly gave him their money without knowing how their money would be invested.

Since I've started Internet Marketing I've been offered to join into some of the most worthless business opportunities on the planet. It takes a critical thinker and someone to separate themselves from their greed to really recognize a scam. You are more susceptible to teaming up with a scammer when your into business for pure greed. Greed allows you to be transformed.

Answer this; Why do you want to start your own business? Is it because your tired of being envious of other people with nice houses, cars clothes and jewelry? Do you want someone to be envious of your material wealth? If this is the case then business sales pitches with money, cars and sexual innuendos will attract your attention more so than a business opportunity that makes sense and can be used to improve a process or the lives of others.

Lets face it, if you really look at some of the "make money online" business opportunities they are only set up to promote the idea of promoting the business to others so they can sign up (usually for a fee) then get others roped up into the endless cycle of "promoting" a business sometimes with a product that know one can really use. Does Multi Level Marketing (MLM)come to mind?

When you look at some of these products they aren't anything revolutionary or new, you just have a bunch of people pitching it to a bunch of people. The fact is that any legit business opportunity pitched a certain way can leave you asking "is this a scam"?

To pitch products with marketability but little to know usability you have to convince your market how they would use the product.

Can you say "scam"?

Great products and ideas are not only marketable but when they are presented the "market" already knows how they can use them.

Right now online video and radio are really big, some people have an online show which is fine and dandy but how does that show make money? Do they make money by marketing "the idea" to others or are they making money from advertisers who pay for ad space on their show?

If it's the later what type of advertisers are paying the big bucks and what type of shows are they paying it to?

If you always wanted to be a star it costs almost nothing to start up an online show. If you have enough viewers you can offer paid advertising segments. If your show isn't directed at a particular market this is known as "broadcasting" and advertisers may take their business elsewhere. If your show is directed at a particular market then it will be "narrow casting" and your odds of attracting sponsors that want to advertise to your audience are much better. This is just part of what someone marketing online video/radio may not tell you.

Why wouldn't someone marketing an online business opportunity tell you everything that you need to know to be successful at the business? Because they want you to think "it's so easy a Cave Man could do it".

"You do not have to pay anyone to start an online business don't be scammed into the madness."

Sure, the online community is growing and everyone loves a good show but there are still those that would rather put down their pc, kick back and watch T. V. or turn on the radio.

Plus, you actually have to work hard to make your show look and sound professional and this is where the cost can go from "almost nothing" to skyrocket. This goes back to knowing who your market is, how much money they are spending, what they are spending their money on and how you can attract them.

Don't jump into anything because someone has told you they did it and it works. You have to really ask yourself:

  1. How does this work?
  2. How does the average person make money in this business?
  3. How much work do the most profitable people in this business put in per day, per week, etc?
  4. How much does it cost?

I'm sure you can think of more questions that need answering before you start a business. If you can't answer these simple questions I suggest you get the answers before you make a decision to start any type of business.

Internet Marketing can be extremely profitable, costs nothing and doesn't take one person signing up anther person who signs up another person to be profitable. Unfortunately their are those that would lead you to believe you have to pay to play. When I talk about "pay" I'm speaking of money not time.

If you have no time but have the money you can pay and direct someone else do promote your business. If you don't have money but can make the time then you can do it yourself. For free, you can:

  1. Research a market for profitability.
  2. Start a blog at blogger.com (on the market)
  3. Write 3-4 articles a week
  4. Post and answer questions on other blogs and social network groups in your market.
  5. Make a report or tutorial for your market that you can giveaway to people that sign up to your email list.
  6. ...oh yeah, start an email list.
  7. Find other no cost methods to market your business that link back to your blog.

Effective Marketing Research is the best way to start a profitable Online Business, without it your depending on others to tell you the difference between what actually makes money online and what is just another scam.
